Jennifer Ann Rizzo is a highly motivated and dependable professional with over ten years of experience in behavioral health and substance abuse treatment. In addition to her expertise in substance use disorders, Jennifer is skilled in addressing various mental health challenges such as mood disorders, anxiety, depression, grief, poor attachment, trauma, and perinatal/postnatal mood disorders. She provides a wide range of services for clients of all ages and enjoys working with individuals and families.

Jennifer’s goal is to assist clients in the development and achievement of their own goals, using a collaborative and integrative approach. This approach may include elements of cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness, dialectical-behavioral therapy (DBT), family systems, solution-focused brief therapy, and creative arts therapy. She is trained in various techniques, including trauma-informed care, DBT, CBT, and expressive therapies.

With a Master’s degree in Counseling from Grand Canyon University, Jennifer possesses strong motivational interviewing and counseling skills. Her diverse employment history has allowed her to gain valuable experience in intake and admissions, health insurance billing and contracts, team building, and customer service.

Throughout her career, Jennifer has demonstrated excellent interpersonal, communication, and supervisory skills, along with advanced computer experience. Her ability to work well independently and as part of a team, combined with her highly creative and methodical problem-solving capabilities, ensure she can thrive in high-stress situations.
